Correspondence. TO THE EDITOR [Newspaper Article] — Zeehan and Dundas Herald — 7 November 1890

Correspondence, tO tfiE EbttOE. bis — Managers of companies in your township seem to have novel ideaB as to how their business should be conducted. One, of them, in forwarding scrip, demands payment of two calls, neither of which was ever gaeettcd, and the second of which was cancelled, as I am informed by a Director of the Company. The subseauent call, made in place of tbe cancelled one, is called No. 3, when it is really No. a, further, the scrip gives tbe name of the Company different from that by which it was registered, tho word ' Registered ' being added; it also .contains a regulation as to transfers, which is neither iu the rules or in the Mining Companies' Act. Another returns a transfer sent to him for registra tratioa, while acknowledging in the same letter that the scrip has not yet been issued the result of which action prevents the holder of the transfer from dealing with ' the shares he has bought, until such time as it may please said Manager to send out the scrip.
