Aftee an eventful visit to the Ceatral District, tie Governor and Premier were landed safe and sound in Brisbane again last night. Both Lad a trying time in Bockbamptoc, one from excess of loyalty and Separa tionism, the other from excess of importunity and labourism. And both acquitted themselves admirably under the ordeal. The Separatists didn't get much "forrader" with lord Laminglon, nor did the daughter of the horae-leeeh that dwells in the region of Sin, Sweat, and Sweat de plete Sir Hugh Ifelson to any alarm ing extent. There were " heated discussions " with labour-led deputa tions, bat the deputationists had to " cool in their own clothes." The Government will do the necessary dredging at Broadmount, and that is about all tho horse-leech deputations got out of the Premier, after they had captured and locked the dour on him. The property consisted of 297£ square miles leasehold land, together with a®1 homestead, and 98,617 sheep, 1700 cattle, and. 160 horses. Mr. Wa Leonard started bidding at £50,000, but there was no increase. The pro perty was passed in, bat it was sub sequently announced that Mr. Leo nard had purchased it at a satisfactory figure.
