THE LATE SESSION. OF PARLIAMENT (From the Times ) THE Parliamentary Session of 1851, which has terminated, was opened on the 4th of February, and lasted six months and four days, being eleven days shorter than its predecessor of 1850. The members of the House of Commons sat, during that period, on one hundred and sixteen days. Their sittings lasted eight hundred and eighty six hours in all, or, on average, upwards of seven and a half hours each. The Lords sat only on ninety-one days. Their sittings lasted two hundred and seventeen hours, or, on an average, somewhat less than two and a half hours each. The following are the most remarkable sub jects which have engaged the attention of the Legislature during the session : February 8. Lord J. Russell moved for leave to bring in a bill to prevent the assumption of certain ecclesinstical titles in respect of places in the united kingdom.
