Prahran Scottish Society. The Scotsmen of Prahran and neighbourhood held a concert in the   City Hall on Friday evening 30th November (St. Andrew's Night), when the hall was filled with an enthusiastic gathering, and the flavour of the Kailyard pervaded the meeting. The Society's Pipe Band, to the number of fourteen stalwart Highlanders, marched, thro" the principal street to the tune of " Highland Laddie," and opened proceedings at the concert with the favourite, "Cock o' the North." Thereafter, the various items of the programme went with a swing and a patriotic fervour, possible only to a Welsh or Scottish gathering. Masters Scotland (2) and Livingstone (2) are sons of Scotsmen, but Australian born, and danced no fewer than four Highland dances, then looked as if they would fain keep on dancing.
