TAMBO. TBUBBDAY. September 18. Mr. McGuirc, manager for Mis. H.T, Walsh, storekeeper here, met with a rory painful accidcnt tliis afternoon. He was out titling with Mr. Kilgour, when his lioree fell and rolled over lijm, breaking Kimc bones of his nose and cutting his facc very severely. Dr. flrowno was promptly in attendance, and under his care the patient is progressing favorably. FHIDAT, September 19. Some czcltemcnt vas caused here this morning by the reported escape from the lock-up of Charles Jolinson, an old St. Helena convict, who was in custody here on a charge of horic stealing, On inquiry, I found the prisoner had really made tracks, much to the consternation of constable Buffhnm, the lock up keeper. A man named O'Ncil got into a raw, and had life shoulder dislocated. He neg lected to obtain surgical advice for some time. When at lost lie went, fearing the pain, he asked to be placed under the influence of chloroform. While undergoing the operation he was seized with a spasm in the throat, and despite all remedies applied by Dr. Spark, was suffocalcd. An inquiry was held yesterday before the Voliec Magistrate, rend a verdict returned in accordance with the medical evidence.
