A correspondent who evidently enjoys the music by the Hawaiian band makes a righteous kick against the dimly lighted band stand in Thomas Square. The surroundings being so beautiful the necessity for moro light has probably escaped the various officials who have direct ed tho affairs- of government since tho organization of the band. There Bcems to bo no reason why tho light should not be furnished. As to the reference to hoodlums, the complaint is general wherever music is given in public places.
