Oh Friday evening ev ery precinct in that great Stato had made its official returns to the Coun ty Clerks. On Saturday commit tees of both parties visited the offices of every County Clerk in. Sevt York State and spent tho day ex amining those returns with the great est possible care, both for clerical and iegul-earors. Saturda' night it was known by both parties, beyond u bhridow of a doubt, that, accord ing to the face of the returns, that Cleveland and Hendricks had car ried the State by a pleurahty of 1212 to 1234, the latter being the official figures as appears on the re turns. Many technical errors have been discovered, and some few cler ical errors.
