GRENFELL MINING REPORT. The Escort to Bydney on Tuesday last took down 1828 ozs 0 dwts 23 grs, and £433 in cash, being tho least return from this gold* field for many months. It is satisfactory to know, however, that this falling o(T is not indicative of any cf Ibo reefs either ' giving out' or becoming poorer, but is in consequence of somo of the machines being employed for tho last four or five weeks on scarcely payablo pebbles from allu vial claims, and tailings ; to tbo feet, also, that aouo oftbo bost roofs bavo been crushing, and because of threo or four machines having been idle for replies, or from want' of water.
