As the day was ao very wet there was not a numerous attendance. The number of birds shot at were seven, and as each shot four the stakes were drawn. 4 quoit match for £5 aside was played on Monhd'y. !Js)t, on the ground adjoining Mr. I. Cairn's Launbton Arms, pwppeen Anthony Smith and Charles W'rikght, of ?gmpjtqn, when the former canoe off victorious', 'There was a large number present during the whole of the game, and every one seemed to take a groat interest in it.
