CHILDREN'S CONCERT. A HUGE GUCCE88. On Wednesday. April 6, the Mannum Institute was crowded to the doors with an enthusiastic audience who thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the program sub mitted by the children of the local school, assisted by the children from Palmer and Fonde schools. This was the first concert given by the children for several years and was bo successful that another will probably be given in. aid of school funds later jn in the year. The pro ceeds of the concert amounted to £40 £/-, and when expenses have been deducted, the balance will be donated to the re creation ground improvement fund. The chief interest .in the program centred round the competition in past songs and action songs in which the three schools present took part. The Mannum achool band opened the proceedings with 'a selection. In which the boys acquitted themselves creditably.
