Sporting Notes. MARYBOROUGH COURSING CLUB. VICTORIAN DERBY & OAKS MEETING. The above meeting'was concluded on Wednesday last, when a large attendance was present to witness the finals for the Derby, Oaks, Class and Carisbrook Stakes. During the day a thick fog hung over the en closure, and at times the longtails and puss were scarcely disceruab.'e. The ground was in perfect order, and, with the exception of a few cases, the coursing was excellent. The hares were well "schooled,'1 and ran spleudidly, and on the con eluding day of the meeting only four were killed. Great credit is due to the President (Mr. G. M. Brownbill), the Secretary (Mr J. G. Moore) and the other officials of the club for the able manner in which they carried out their duties, not a hitch occurring during the three days' coursing. Mr. J.
