Clubs Approach Final Meetings Chemistry Club The Chemistry club held its last meeting- on Tuesday night at the Broad Street Building-. Professor Holtzinger, honored guest from the campus, addressed the club. Two movies were shown and all unfinished business for this semester was taken care of. Refreshments were served. Myron Schmutzer, president of the club, thanked all members for their cooperation during the semester. International Relations Club The International Relations Club will hold a business meeting on Wednesday at noon. All members are urged to attend. At the last meeting of the Sandwich Cinema Hour the movie, Americans All, was shown. The club is still discussing the North Atlantic Pact. Mummy Club The Mummy club held its last meeting of this semester last night at the Broad Street Building. A movie, Father Nile, was shown and slides depicting the opening of the tombs. afternoon the Supermen will meet the Rabbits, and the Engineers take on the Schmoos. There will be a league meeting on Monday, the ninth, to determine the schedule for the following week. At a previous league meeting the following rules were agreed upon by representatives of each team. (1) No cleats or spikes are allowed. (2) Permission must be obtained from the opposing team captain before using any outside players. (3) Any outside player picked up by a team may not be used as a pitcher in any league games. (4) All games played by the teams dropping from the league will count, and all future opponents will foe credited with victorious. (5) Two consecutive forfeits—dismissed from the league. (6) A minimum of six players must be present at game time, or the game will be forfeited. (7) No base leading or stealing will be allowed . Center Mass Meeting Sophomores were informed at the mass meeting held Wednesday that they will be alloted three Convocation announcements and three tickets; each will entitle two guests to the program. The announcements and tickets will be distributed in the corridor at Walnut Street very soon. Invitations will be extended to prominent citizens of Hazleton and several faculty members of the main campus. Any student who knows of someone who might be invited should submit his name to the faculty committee.

Alumni News Former Center student now at the main campus, Howard "Sam" Hall, is a pledge of the music honorary fraternity, and Wilson Barto is a prospective member of the honorary journalism fraternity, Sigma Delta Chi. Barto was recently elected to the sophomore board of the Daily Collegian. Dan Wargo, who starred in Dark of the Moon, has a role in the latest Players' production, John Loves Mary. The comedy runs on the campus May 5, 6 and 7.

LANGUAGE FESTIVAL IS MARDI GRAS The Annual Language Festival this year, which was held Monday night at the YW'CA, turned out to be a funfest for all. Pour skits were pre- sented by the Spanish club, a puppet show by the German club, a short play by the French club. Then the group participated in some community singing. All this was done in the respective languages of the club members. There was a good attendance and everyone enjoyed themselves. The co-chairladies for the affair were Edra Stafferi and Anna Erle-man.

Girard Principal Is Speaker For Convocation The Second Annual Convocation of Hazleton Center students will take place on Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Broad and Church Streets in Hazleton. Dr. D. Montfort Melchior, principal of the high school of the Girard College in Philadelphia, will address the audience. His topic will be, "Education for a Changing World." Dr. Melchior received his A.B. at Gettysburg and his Ph . D. at B ' ucknell. A member of several educational societies, he is on the faculty of the School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the summer school faculty at Bucknell University. Collegian Staff Planning Picnic The Collegian staff is planning a picnic as a last social function for the spring semester. All staff writers and persons who performed the technical and other functional duties of publishing the paper are invited to the outing which will be held at Miss Lois Neifert's summer home at Lake Wallenpaupack on May 28. The picnic will be an all-day fete, and Miss Neifert has informed the staff that varied recreational facilities which include boating, fishing, swimming, and badminton will be offered throughout the day. The group will probably make the trip in private cars. The other social activity that the Collegian held during the year was a farewell party for Wilson Barto, former editor of the paper. Members who will serve on the refreshment committee are Nancy Di-Bonifazio, Joe Olivia and Walter Stone.
