THE "SENTINEL'S" GOSSIP On Current Events and Happenings. A Few Things Observed by Him as He Patrols His Post. [Newspaper Article] — Cambridge Sentinel — 21 May 1904

THE "SENTINEL'S" GOSSIP On Current Events and Happenings. A Few Things Observed by Him as He Patrols His Post. it would seem that although President Steams of the common council felt that It was Incumbent upon hlai to gather material to refute the tacts given last week by Councilman Wood, still It would also seem by the statement of Councilman Walcott that he. Steams, did not feel himself adequate to the self-imposed task, and he called to his assistance Councilman Walcott. And it would further seem that the principal work of these two g>ntle. men was to have a statement prepared by someone In the water office lot Walcott to deliver, for when he arose to launch his small pyrotechnical attempt he knew so little about the he made all manner of contridlctions and so thoroughly befuddled the whole affair that Councilman Monk irose nnd stated that when he came to the meeting he was In favor of the passage of the order and now he did not know whether it was best to vote for it ...
