N A S KY IX L E; FRIDAY MORNING, MAY 20, 1859 Tlie Firemen' Parade. Ye terday and lat night ought to be, and will be, lonar rememVred by the Firemen of this City as being the occasion of one of the most delightful festivals of their lives. The day was iiighly favorable, the clouds of the day ln-fore having broken away and the Ftreets being tree both from dtift and mad. The preparations had been made on a ale to insure success. The machinery of tie va rious Companies had been polished and dec orated with flowers, the glorious emblems of the season; the members were handsomely uniformed, and the entire line and order of the exercises were in the best taste and high ly attractive throughout. The streets along the route of the procession were lined with citizens, ladies and gentlemen, not to men tion a ''bhurp sprinkling" of children. Voorhies, Esq., of Maury, lost a valuable woman and hr two children a short time since through the agency, it may be, of the underground railroad.
