We learn by a gentleman direct Iroin Kan sas Territory, who reached tliis place on Tuesday evening, that CjI. Gay, Agent of the Wyandotl Indians, was shot and killed, last Saturday afternoon, about one mile be yond Weslpurt. Ilia ton, who was with him, was aUo allot, but mads his escape. Cut. G. was an abolitionist but had rendered himself obnoxious to both parties, as also (he Iiulinns. It was not known who killed hun. His body was perfectly ridJled with balls. Gov. Shannon resigned the office of Gov ernor, last Friday. There was. great ex citement against him, and it was thought he would vamose, a la Reeder, to save his scalp. Capt.
