Women , having duties which , if nol fewer , are less compulsory , than those of men , are peculiarly subject to this complaint Theii physical strength is less , their nervous systems ire more complicated. Secretary Root regrets the decrease of country life on the ground thai cities make a nervous race , different from the cool old stock which has been the basis of our civilization. Mr Root thinks that nearness to the soil is a necessary con dition of strong nerves. The American climalo , in UK Northern States , is exciting. Many who cannot sleep in the United Suites are less troubled with insomnia abroad When cable cars , with gongs and crowds , railways over head , packed streets , automobiles , telephones , telegrams , messenger boys , and the general machinery of haste arc added , nervous tension becomes extreme. OPINIONS OF GREAT PAPERS ON IMPORTANT SUBJECTS Kow Many Meals a Day ? AVE j'ou ever taken time to reckon the multi plicity of the theories nowadays with regard to he number of meals that should fill out the lay's fare and the hours at which they should , e eaten ? If you have done this the probability s that you emerged from the study in arith metic convinced that it makes precious little difference what a man is doing as long as he is possessed ef a sufficient amount of faith in the line he is following. For you can easily call to mind half a dozen of your Acquaintances who say that their health has improved one hundred per cent since they cancelled their breakfasts and took to eating a rather Hearty luncheon. And within sound of your voice are as many other persons who declare they never knew what perfect health meant till they cut out the mid-day meal altogether , allowing a satisfying break fast and a not too late dinner to cover the amount of food consumed through the day. Then...

Pinfcham's Vegetable Compound * " DEAR MRS. PTNKITAM : I have been so blessedly helped through the use parties and receptions thinly clad , and would be suddenly chilled , but I did not think of the results. I caught a bad cold eighteen months ago while menstruating , and this caused inflammation of the womb and congested ovaries. I suffered excruciating pains and kept gettingworse. . My attention was called to your Vegetable Compound and the wonderful t cures it had performed , and I made up my mind to try it for two months and i see what it would do for me. Within one month I felt much better , and at the close of the second I was entirely well.
