KINSLEY GRAPHIC. iKINSLEY, KANSAS CURRENT COMMENT. "Playing cards for sweet charity's Sake is one of the latest fads of society in Washington. .An enterprising undertaker in a Mis souri city has embalmed the corpse of an Afro-American citizen in order to stand it up in his show window as an example of his high skill in the occult science of mummifying. She left a snug little fortune to her 18th husband, who is a young man, and who had lived with 'his venerable bride only a few months. American manufacturers, encour aged by the fact that paper railroad rails have been successfully introduced in Germany and Russia, are experi menting along the same lines. KINSLEY GRAPHIC. telNSLEY, KANSAS CURRENT COMMENT. New Zealaxd workingmen are ad vocating a working day of six hours. A company has been formed in Maine to make silk for clothing' from spruce trees. After trying1 to make blue-coated up-to-date soldiers of the Indians for a number of years the war department has decided that the experiment is a failure and orders have been issued for the disbandment on May 31 of the Indian company at Fort Sill, Ok. Something practical has been done in New York state toward stopping the destruction of birds. The legisla ture has forbidden the sale of bird skins with plumage attached. Wom en's hats so adorned will be contra band and unsalable in that state. There will be established in New York a Buisson institute, for the treat ment of persons "bitten by rabid ani mals. The treatment is simply a thorough sweating of the person; by opening the pores of the skin the noison is driven out of the svstem. The Chicago Farmers' Voice shows the report to be fa...

THE of the rAWeaaaa Copyright. 1805. by Robert Birr CHAPTER XIV.-rCoTrxcED. The agreement was completed on this l(isis, and Wentworth felt that a long ttep had been taken toward the end desired, but Kenyon wondered why their new partner had so suddenly changed his mind. Offices were taken near the bank, and much time and money were spent in fitting them up. Both Kenyon and Wentworth chafed at the delay, but their partner pointed out that nothing was to be gained by un uue haste. Any attempt to rush things would have a bad effect in the city. Capital was timorous, and nothing must be done prematurely. " All in all, Kenyon and Wentworth re ceived many excellent business maxims from their partner, and it is to be hoped they profited by them. Prospectuses were printed, and a firm of solicitors was retained; but in spite of all this no real progress was made toward the formation of the Canadian Mica MiniDg company (limited). William Longworth had an eye for beauty. One eye was generally ...
