THE '52 GUNDAGAI FLOOD Terrible Suffering- and Ultimate Rescue of the Turnbull Family   (By Henry Norman Turnbull) An official account o£ the big "ris- ing of the waters" at Gundagai (N.S. Wales) when the whole town was washed away and nearly 100 lives lost, was never written; that is no "special reporters"'--visited the scenes and "our correspondent." -was un- known.- The "S.M. Herald" published a list of the drowned and saved with   one or two pars telling of the direful, calamity,! and that was all. The "big phella flood" Is now a mere matter of history. The following particulars of the sufferings of Mr. and Mrs. Henry   Matthew Turnbull, their family, and friends were related by writer's mo- ther years after the flood. Like many of our returned soldiers, in relation to the wait, Mrs. Turnbull never cared   to dwell on the subject of the flood.   The world knew little of this "clean sweep" made by Nature of the town...
