S.Q.F.S. MARKET REPORT, The following market report has been, received from the Society's Mel bourne representative under date -itii inst. Bananas: Choice 32/-. good quality 29/-, small snd medium from 20/ to 25/. Owing' to the light quantity re ceived lately the prices for small and medium have been high in comparison with choice lines. Buyers were not prepared to go on buying at recent prices and inconsequence the market eased somewhat this week. Indica tion point lo a probable fall in the near future. I would advise growers to send only well matured fruit during the winter months. This fruit ripens in cold weather and there will be a bic difference between prices for such arid the immature fruit. I would nlso ad vise growers to well paper cases. Pineapples: Sales generally 20/ to 23/. 'Some growers are showinc a tendency to send rather green fruit.
