PEEL ISLAND LAZARETTE. ARRANGEMENTS FOR PA TIENTS. TOWERS GIRLS TO BE REEX AMINED. (By Telegraph.) BRISBANE, July 17. Dr. Ham, Commissioner for Public Health, stated to-day that at Peel Island Lazarette, provision had been made to place each patient in a separate hut. The white inmate* would have one portion of the grounds, and the colored another. The women would have an area apart from the others, and a night watchman would be appointed. Advanced cases of leprosy would be completely Isolated, and meals sup plied in their huts. The two girls to be sent from north are to be re-examined on arrival hire before being sent to the lazarette.

ENTERTAINMENTS. HERBERT FLEMMTNG COMPANY. 'DR. WAKE'S PATIENT.' The all-round excellence of Mr Her bert FlemminK's Company was again demonstrated at the Theatre Royal last night, when that sparkling comedy 'Dr Wake's Patient.' was repeated. All that was said in praise of the piece in yesterday's issue may be empha sised over and over again, and then the adulation will not be beyond tho merits of the various artistes— from Mr Herbert Flommlns and Miss Beatrice Day as the principals down to the de lineators of the most humble parts In the play. The staging of the piece wns excellent, and the scenery In Act Ill showing the nay Hotel at Seton Barr, was quite up to tho most artistic view over put on a Townsville stage. The accompanying music was also of a har monious character, and constant rounds of applause punctuated the rhythmical progress of the high-class comedy.

Herbert-atreet, Bowen, were charged with having committed a breach of the Act on June 13, 1907.
