A special meeting of the delegates from the Stock and Pastures Boards of the colony was hell on Monday evening last at Aarons' Exchauge Hotel to consider the proposal made by the Tenterfield Board for forming a Central Committee from the 64 boards in the colony. THE CONFERENCE. The long-talked of Conference of dele gates from the Stock Boards has taken place. It has proved more satis factory than anyone could possibly have expected, and the results are such as will bear rich fruit in the future. Men have grown accustomed to hearing it remarked, that ' the stockowners of New South Wales never have united, and they never will unite.' People accept that as a truism, even in spite of the living testimony to the contrary afforded by the Pastoralists' Union. The stockowners can combine and last week's Conference showed them in an excellenb light. When more than half a hundred delegates can assemble from every part of our vast colony and do what these delegates did in two hours and a half, then indeed there is hppe for the stockowners. No country in the world can offer more diversities of intorests than New South Wales.
