INQUEST. An inquest was held on WVednesday morn. ing last at Moyhu on the body of a man found dead about a mile from the township. The first witnese -examined was - Edward Walby, who stated that a man dressed in a shirt, hat, and trousers, the same as those found on the body, camne to his house last Wednesday week, and worked for him for two days. On Saturday morning the man, instead of going to 'work, asked for a book and began to talk incoherently, and they gave him a prayer book, and he then began reading and praying, taking his meals regularly, however, until Tuesday afternoon following, when he left. Deceased told wit ness that he had been drinking and knocking down his eheque at Moyhu.- The mao's name was Patrick Murphy. A. Gibson deposed-I am a farmer, living near bfoyhu.. The deceased eamer, to my house on Tuesday evening and had some tea. - He was sober, but talked strangely. ie went -away during the night, leavinog his boots behind him. I did not see him again.
