Thr decision of the Lical Court in this cuse, although strictly in accordance with tlie evidence adduced, was felt by some of the members themselves to be contrary to the rights of the ease, and a public meeting was held in the public room at the Nine Mile, on Tuesday evening last, to discuss the subject with :he view of having the matter further investigated Mr Walter Thompson in the chair. Mr J Hoyle in introducing the busi ness of the meeting, said, that he had 110 doubt there were persons present who did not understand the reason of this meeting.
