Mount Oxide. The full report on the Mount Oxide Mine, by Mr. J. H. Fawcett, M. Jnst. M.M., has emboldened those interested in the Option Company to move to create a new comnanv with a. caxrital of £200,000. A working capital of £20,000 IB to be pro vided to prove the extent of the ore de posits, and out of the balance of the capi tal subscribed the owner presumably will get his £100,000 for the mine. No doubt when the property is further proved there will be another float with possibly a fur ther passing on of the usual load of free shares. Mr. Fawcetjfs report is sent out in splendid style, with assay and locality plane to help the uninformed. As the company's shares are sure to be a market factor of some importance it is just as well that a little attention shall be devoted to the report. One of the first facts that has to be realised is that the mine is about 150 miles -from any railway, and that at present the ore has to he packed to either Burketown, on the Gulf of Car pentaria...
