Tlib Texas Pacific Railwa Com pany is now advertised as ready to sell the lands granted to it by Congress on the condition that it wonld build a railway from Marshall, Texas, to San Diego, California. This is dtjeidedly cheeky under the circumstances, and is interesting td hundreds, yes, thou aands of settlors in Arizona. The of fer to sell, as a settler informed us the other day, is accompanied by the mod est condition that title will be given when the company is favored with power to give it, and that payment need not be made till that distant pe riod. The company knows it has not title to a foot of land in Arizona, and its constant application to Congress for additional aid for several years past, is a pretty clear confession of in ability to procure title to any under existing law. The company has a con tingent title to much land, but such as it is, even if ever perfecte...
