Editor Express: There was quite* fire here yesterday, aud, for a time, there was considerable ex oltement. Between 12 and Ip. m. Am Ellis's barn waa discovered to be on fire. It was filled with bay and barley—last year's crop. In a very few minutes after the discov ery of tbe Ore, it was past redemp tion. It was impossible to save anything. A thresher, header and other farm machinery were de stroyed. The wind blew half a gale at tbe time, and it was with tbe greatest difficulty that the hous es In tbe line of the fire Wars saved.
