J- THE SIMMONS BRAND A v Cowboys Take 14-0 Victory From Denton Teachers In Mud Battle Simmorisites Flash More Fight In Contest Plashing n powerful defense that kopt the opposition from scoring while their own side was chalking up two touchdowns tho Cowboys came out victorious over the Denton Teachers at the West Texas Fair last Saturday afternoon. Coach Cranfill started a team that was half substitutes but they looked much better than the team that took the field against St. Edwards a week previous. Simmons started scoring early in tho game. They waded through the mud to score one touch- down ten minutes after the game had started. The rest of tho time they seemed content to play a defensive game and though they were backed into their own territory several times thoy were never in real danger.
