Peel 5 onions, 4 carrots, and a "swede" turnip, and cut very email. Wn-li and cut the white heart'of colsry, and sprinkle all with flour. Airatigemcnts have been made by the Department of Agriculture for lis Inspectors to inspect growing when: nrops in such districts as are likely to harvest any surplus gialu, nnd practically arrange for the purchase of any available lois that are clean and true to type. Langunyah. (From Our Correspondent.) On Friday, 24tl» inst., a meetiug | of those interested in the Languu yah Public School was held to adopt rules for a Parents and Citizens' Association. A commit tee bad previously be?n formed with Mr Peace president, Mrs Qriliifoiir secretary, Mrs Stcen treasurer, and vlessrs Fmphy and Detalliy, vice presidents. The object of this Association is to take an interest aud deal with any matters in con nectlon with the school. Already the parents and citizens have plant ed about 100 trees, all of which despite the dry weather are doing well. Material lias been sent to have the grounds wiie netted in, and tenders arc being called for to paint the school. Hay cutting is in full swing,'but only fair sheaves are being turned out.
