March cream ami milk accounts to the Colac dairying company have lioen compiled, and the sum distri buted amounts £7881 7/(5, as against .69218 16/9 for the corresponding month of 191:5, or a decrease of 1 2 9/3. This payment is the lowest on record for a liumbev of years, and provides ample evidence of the exceptional dryness of the season. Supplies of butter are so low that considerable difficulty is being experienced in tilling customers' orders. The price paid per lb. but ter fat is lwd in advance of that paid for the month of March last year. Cheques range from £312 1-1/4 down as low as 2s. Egg payments aomunt to £35 IS/3. The output of butter for the past month was 69 tons IS ewt., being a decrease in this direc tion of 21 ions 12 ewt.. as compared with March, 1913. c

Coleraine Albion PUBLISHED EVERY MONDAY and THURSDAY EVENING. MONDAY, APRIL 27, 1914. [Newspaper Article] — Coleraine Albion and Western Advertiser — 27 April 1914

(Solevame 3tiMorn punusnisn kvrry Monday and THURSDAY EVENING. MONDAY, APRIL 27, 1914. Tim supplying shareholders of fclie Coleraine Butter Factory who were , absent from tlio meeting' held at the Tempera, uce Hall last week should lose no tirue in co-operating with their, brother suppliers in acquiring such shares of the company as are available. Solf-intoresfc, apart from ' mutual interest and mutual obliga tion, points to this promptness of action. In the light which has been 1 shed on the methods of co-operative and proprietary companies the man j who depends on his cows for a living | cannot afford to disregard the policy of working in unison. Under present-day conditions co-operative control is the only avenue to econo mical administration." Every shil ling put into shares will come back in savings effected, and | every penny withh.eld will stealthily rob the suppliers in the shape of reduced returns.
