Their demand was, consider ed by the curators, and, in .view of the F catalogue of calamities that son'ehow seemed.connected with the mumiy case, their demand was con sidered reasonable.' : A replica was accordingly made and painted in exact facsimile, and this whas exhibited to the public as the real thing, no outsider being any the' wiser or the worse.
