FLORIDA A tatter from Qoincy, Florida, states that the steamboat Minerva, Apalachicola Bay, has been so fortunate as to bring off safe all the command of Maj. Lemore, or HoUoman's Company, penned up since the 5th of April in a block house on the: Withlacoochie. The Indians had fired on Hoiloman's men for three days previously, and had just retired for provisions] The same boat has gone up the Savannah to relieve Capt. McCaula and about 80 men shut up in the same way in a block bouse at the Old Town. A letter from Dr. Samuel A. T. TEXIAN AFFAIRS By the arrival of the schooner Atahhta at New Orleans, from Tampico, the intelligence is brought that when the defeat and capture of Santa Anna became known there, the subalterns ofthe army and government threatened to massacre all foreignera in the place, but that the British and, American consuls haying, remonstrated with the commandant; at Tampico, he used precautionary measures to j prevent disturbances, liter intelligence states that some disturbances bad actually taken place between the Mexicans and: foreigners, in the course of which several persons bad been severely injured---but that quiet bad been restored.
