A similar fair held a* the same place one year ago was fraught witl a great deal of goed to the whole southeri section of the State. It not only gave tht people of that section a better and more cor ec idea of the resources of their section, but the reports of the fair that were sent abroac through the press and private correspondence called general attention to that country as a favorable locality for the production of citrus and nearly all other varieties of fruits. It seems but yester day he entered Paris on a sort of trium phal car, and was received with loud accla mations and enthusiasm by the joyful crowd, and now to-day his once brilliant star has suddenly dimmed and almost gone out of sight.
