Eggs may be kept fresh for months if packed in a cool place, small end down, in boxes filled with finely sifted coal ashes well pressed down between the eggs, so as to keep them from access to the air. OATMEAL PORRIDGE. To three pints of boiling water add a half pound of oatmeal aud one-half tea apoonful of salt. Stir gently and boil for fifteen or twenty minute. Turn into a dish warm and eat with sweet milk, butter or syrup, or sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and powdered cin namon.
