Public School Vacation The Public School farokn up on Friday hist for the upual Christmas vacotion, and Aldermau Wulker took advantage of the occasion to keep a promise which he had made of awaiding two prices to the pnpilg. He decided that each prises were to be given to the most popular boy and girl in the school, and the matter was to be decided by tlie vote of the popil* the result being that the prises fell to Miss M. Gunning and Master Aubrey Barlow. After a few well-chosen re marks to the pupils Alderman Walker presented his awards, which appeared to be mrch relished by the recipients. Mr. Walker was even better than his promise, as he awarded two additional prin e to the next boy and girl »ho were held in highest esteem by their fellow pnpils, the result being that these fell to Hiss N.
