The Building The new convent building is said to bo one of tho moRt handsome among nuiny such built in the Riverina. It is designed on pleas ing lines, and built on the crown of a rise, which makes it a cunHpicu - oub object in tho oast end of the township. It is constracted of brick, with red tile roof, and in all there are fourteen compartments, tho-oratoiy particularly.being a fine room, adorned with a stained glass window. [The grounds are large, and at piusent look bare, but work has already been commenced in planting out fruit and foliage trees, and in proper season lawns will lie laid down, u plentiful supply of water being available from a well 011 the property, over which a wind mill is erected. Welcome to Returned Soldiers. A large uumber gathered ut the Pavilion on Wednesday nighi to join In the public ivelcome extended to several relumed soldiers who had enlisted from these pai ts. A most enjoyable evening was spent. There were present—Sergt.-Major K. Whltty M.M., and Shoeing-smilh R. Harley, who were most enthu siastically received. Privates Red gate and E. Herberte wore unable to attend. The district's gold medal was preseatod to each man, and Mr II, L,. Dwyer was entrlisteil with llie welcome s euuli. In the cunr.se of his remaiks the speaker voiced the appreciation of the res dents at the sacrifices made by the men, and now that they had returned on be half of their many admirers he wished them long life and happi ness.
