The President Informed members of the objects they had met for, vh : the election of officers for tlie ensuing six months. At a qnirter to S o'clock tins morning the steamships Advance and Koonva arrived off the entrance to Trial Harbour. Tlie Advance being slightly ahead nf the Koonya, entered the harbour first. The harbourmaster sig nalled the Koonya to wait, hut before the Advance was properly moored the Koonya entered. The harbour-master kept continually ordering her out, his order eventually being In crossing out a boat which tha Koonya had in tow broke adrift, probably through' a defective tow-line.
