Wkdsesdav, May 20. The Drayton Murder Case. William Teogte was indicted for that he, on the 16th April, at Drayton Swamp, feloniously, wilfully, and of malice-aforethought, did kill «ne Mary I.eiehtnn, alias Marv Teazle. Tho prisoner pleaded not guilty, and was defended, at the request of the Judge, by Mr. Milford. Sixteen Jurymen were challenged by the prisoner, and two by the Crown, so that the formation of a panel occupied some little time. The Jury having been sworn. The Crown Prosecutor proceeded to state the case to them in a remarkably lucid and perspicuous, yet temperate manner. He besought the Jury, above sill t-lse, to dispel from tlioir minds everything that they h»d previously heard of the case, and only to Judgo of the guilt or innocence of tho prisoner by wluif was brought before them that day. ?
