The "nonsensical" action was a de cision of the members--not "rulers" that if they played. for .the Farrell Trophy with .any intention, expectation orr chance of winning. it, they must adopt. a plan which - gave.them some chance of doing justice to themsel?es and their club; and. some. years' ex perience of such contests here such. as the members had-was worth more than ii'#id-~icket's" 'opinion, wi*h wsitSo much interested in the welfare of'the club and township that he did not even attend the meeting! Had he done so, he would have been a wiser man. The protest is to the effect that Healesville people will be unable to witness certain matches (well, they have "not dis played 'any eagerness, hitherto, as a whole), that "the townspeople. are .ex pected to support the club"-by " Mid wicket" perhaps-not by th...
