THE HAWKESBURY IN FLOOD. SYDNEY. FRIDAY. The Hawkesburv River at Windsor lias risou nearly 27 foot, and is still rising. It is now about four toec over the Wiudsor bridge. AU othqr local streams are iu flood, and the water* are slowly encroaching upon cultivation areas. All the low-lying lands in the vicinity of Mulgrave, River stone, Pittown, Poninsulu, Cornwall)'*, Mc Gnatli's Hill, and other fiats are iaundated and crops are submerged. Crops of potatoes, maize, lucerne and pumpkins were destroyed. The loss to the district will aggregate some thousands >.r pounds. All stock have been removed to places of safety. The gravest fears:*xist regarding the dams constructed on the low Jands to stem flood water. If either oveH$dwfedr or were swept away by torrent, Windsor would be hemmed in by water on every sitie. DALE IN SYBNEY. SYDNEY, Friday. During last night a gale a good deal ot damage was done iu the city and suburbs. Walls, buildings, und trees were blotm down. A number of houses wore flooded aT Redfern. The weather has now moderated, but is still showery. Over six inches of rain were registered in Sydney during tlie past 24 hours. During the height of the galo the wind attained a velocity of 80 miles an hour. Heavy weather continue1; on the coast. Stand-off signals are ftyiug, and in many places dangerous sous are running. Some heavy falls are recorded inland, and along the coastal areas. SYDNEY, Friday. Torrential rain has fallen at Clifton. All flat , country Is under water. Railway' traf fic on the Dlawaora liae Is held up, and In some places the ballast wtia' washed away. Great damage was done to the roads every* where, many-of them being washed away.

The draft scheme in connection with the' annual field training camps of ihe Held and garrison forces of the district command of New South Wales have besn prepared, -**»'> are now awaiting ratification in detail by the board. There will be this Easter a considerable change from past custom. Formerly the in* faniry of the garrlsou. comprised in what were the four volunteer regiments— the Scottish, Australian. St. George's, and Irish Ride RegimeaU—spent four days in camp, at their allotted posts to the north and south of Port Jackson. These regimenu,- which from January j have been merged into mili tia on the same piano as the other partially, paid infantry, were last Easter enabled to go into the field at Liverpool for four days, because the partially-paid regiments had undergone tbefr field training the previous JanOary at the Kitchener camp. This year the two infantry forces will combine at Liverpool for eight days at Easter, much to the gratification of numbers...
