CORRESPONDENCE. [We are not responsible for the opinions expressed by our Correspondents.] OUR MUSICAL SOCIETIES. To the Editor of the Record. [Newspaper Article] — The Record and Emerald Hill and Sandridge Advertiser — 7 May 1874

CORRESPONDENCE. [Wo are not responsible for the opinions expressed by our Correspondents.] OUR MUSICAL SOCIETIES. To ilie Editor of the Record. Sib, I was very much pleased with the attempts that were made by our two locnl [societies at the Moonlight Concert, a few evenings ago, and from the apparently good talent that is to be found in both societies; it seems a great pit}' that it should be divided: Now, sir, don't you think it would be a step in tie right direction if arrange ments could be made to amalgamate these two societies and thus have a lirst-class Philharmonic Society, equal, if Dot superior, to any yet . in ex istence? Tho show that was made ou the above mentioned occasion would do credit to any large town, and I hope some' of our musical friends will try and bring about this object and greatly please, Yours, ic., Adagio.
