HOW TO NEUTRALISE DAN GEROUS STOMACH ACIDS Few people besides physicians re:di e the importance of keeping the food contents of the stomach free from acid fermerntaion. Healthy normal diges tion cannot take place while the deli cate lining of the stomach is being in flatted and distcnded by acid and wind-the results ot fermenting food in tie stomach. To ,secure perfect di c.etion, fermentation must be stopped or prevented, and the acid neutralised. .For thi pur poe physiceans usually re commend getting a little( bisurated magnesia from the chemist and taking ludf a teaspoonful in a little hot or cold water immediately after eating. They recommend hisurated magnesia becauso it is pleasant to take, has no disagreeable after effects, and instantly stolot fermentation, neutralises the acid and ltakes the sonur acid: food bland, sweet antd easily digested. The regular use of hisurated mag inesia-be sure you get the bisurated, as other kinds of magnesia are of liittle value--is an absolut...

FEDERAL ISSUES. GROUND OF BATTLE. CONTRIBUTED. [Newspaper Article] — Swan Hill Guardian and Lake Boga Advocate — 18 June 1914

FEDERAL ISSUES. GROUND OF BATTLE. CONTRIBUTED. It is a pity that the Federal Parlia ment should -devote some of its last hours to discussion of a sort calculated to cloud the real issues on which the electors are. to pronounce in two' o, three months. " Let it be admitted that there is possibility of honest difference of. opinion as to the interpretation of clause 57. More than that, let iti be granted that Messrs. Irvine and Hughes do honestly differ as to the meaning of its 'words. Still the Governor General has studied the Constitution. and has decided in accordance with his reading of the clause. Every Aus tralian who gives a thought to Federal matters knows that the two test bills were submitted with a definite purpose, that party leaders wrangled as to how His Excellency would act, and that, let him do what he would, he was bound to set aside the reasoning of the present Attorney-General or his pre uecessor in office. STRATFORD EAST AND DISTRICT ASSOCIATION. Tynrell v. Stratford East [Newspaper Article] — Swan Hill Guardian and Lake Boga Advocate — 18 June 1914

STRATFORD EAST AND DISTRICT A8SOCIATION. Typrell V. Stratfopd East The match between Tyrrell and Strat ford a't atchio gave such promise of a good game thF.t it attracted a good crowd. It wasa very close game, yet it was never a really good match. There were little spaces wvlcre the play was everything that could bt desired. -When the play was at its greatest the dash and determiina tion of the players on both sides were such as is not easily surpassed, yet it was not such an exhibition of Australian foot ball as one hopes he ma;y se many times this season. T'he faults were cinetly with the rules, which were not strictly observ ed. Anothe: thing t ha:t marred the gmne to some cxtelt w?as thee rmpire's habit of calling up the ball, not while it was in the crush, but just after it had got clear. FOOTBALL. SWAN HILL ASSOCIATION. Faughs (4.4.) v. Lake Boga (3.4.) [Newspaper Article] — Swan Hill Guardian and Lake Boga Advocate — 18 June 1914

FOOTBALL. ---0-- SWAN HILL ASSOCIATION. Faughs (4.4.) v. Lake Boga .(S.4.) On Wednesday last the above teams met for the second time this season. On the first occasion the Faughs easily accounted for theii opponents, but Boga was only represented by a weak team. Since then Boga's team has improved considerably, and on Wednesday much interest was attracted to the meeting of these teams. There was a largeattendance of the public, Swan Hill preponderating. A feature of the outing was the large number of motor cars, andvehiclesof every description were requisitigned to convey enthusiasts to the battle ground. Look ing back along the road from the top of the hill near Boga reminded one of the Flemington-road on an important race day. Boga put a very fine combination of players in the field, and were very confident of "downing" the yellow and blacks. F. Williams and L. Borelli were notable absentees from the Faughs"rank. RIickard won ile toss irom Uouie, an. elected to take advantage of t...
