Dip Cagers Bow Twice ; Devils Shatter Record F and M s varsity basketball fortunes skidded even lower this weekend as the Diplomats dropped a pair of contests to Dickinson and Moravian which lowered their season s record to 2-13 . In bowing to Dickinson , 114-85 , on Thursday , F and M saw a new team scoring record in the making for Mayser Gymnasium while two days later they fell to Moravian by a 78-70 count . Thomas Scores 35 Pacing Dickinson to the victory , Dave Thomas scored 35 points , topping Jim Leslie s former gymnasium record of 30 , and his 14 field goals was one better than Lee Baber s old mark . Stehman Topples Backstroke Mark ; Frosh Clubs Win Sporting a combined 17-3 lecord , F and M s freshman athletic squads continued their winning ways this weekend with John Stehman s record shattering 2 : 12 . 7 effort in the 200-yard backstroke highlighting the festivities . With Coach _George McGinness yearling swimmers splashing their way to a 63-27 victory over the Elizabethtown varsity , Stehman s performance eclipsed Nick Hoppner s old college _iccord by more than a second .
