Bland's Silver Bill passed the Sen ate on Saturday last by a vote of 48 to 21, and only wants the President's sig nature to become a law. Senators Cameron and Wallace of .Pennsylva nia votod for the bill The following is the full text of the bill as passed : Be it1 enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assem bled, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That there hall be coined, at the several mints of the United States, silver dollars of the weight of 412 grains troy, of standard ilver, as provided in the act of Janu ary 18, 1S37, on which shall be the device and superscription provided by said act, which coins, together with all silver dollars heretofore coined by the United States of like weight and fine tiers, shall be a legal tender at their .nominal value for all debts and dues, public -and private, except where oth erwise expressed and s...

Tho Silver Bill was vetoed by the Presideut, on Thursday last, and nn able message to Congress accompanied the veto. ' Some of the message is com posed of an explanation of his position on the bill, and reviewing that part of his annual message which touched the matter at issue. Conver, Editor of the ' Forcsl' Press, died on Tuesday, March 19, 1878, at 8 o'clock A. m., aged .45 years, 1 month and 17 days. Mr. Conver was born in Montgom ery County, Pa. When six years of age he came with his father, George t'onrcr, to Richland township, Venan go county, near Emlenton. At the . age of 16, ho entered the office of E. S."
