Within a week or two we bave inJuccd several or our friends, residente, to take a walk in the southern part of town, ooJ a more surprised Set of 'individuals, than they were, on examining tho improvement; vc have not seen. Our interest would lead ua to advo cate improvements in the ncrtli part of town. But ne cannot withhold tho meed of praise from those who have such an interest in their own section. It is a general benefit to all, and deserves especial no tice. Those who witnessed the improvements could scarcely recognize Togue's crooked Run. In that neighborhood, tho first thing that greets the eye, is the splendid and commodious depot building, some 300 feet in length, and now nearly roofed over. Al though beautifully situated for shew, we could not but regret that the directory had not looked a li'.tle fur ther ahead, and established it at a point more benefi cial to the company, and readier of approach to the public generally....
