CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY. The North Ipswich Congregational Church Christian Endeavour Society met on Monday evening last, when they held their anniversary social. About 50 young people were present. The chair was occu- pied by the president, the Rev. O. Brown, who gave an appropriate ad- dress. The following programme was ren- dered :–Solo, Mr. G. E. Careless ; a paper was read, by Miss J. Van Cooten, on "Christian Endeavour for Christ," as also one by Miss E. Rodway, on "Chris- tian Endeavour for the Church." Mr. T. Ferrier spoke on our privileges as Chris- tian Endeavourers. The report of the year's work was read by Mr. W. Rod- way, after which a recitation was given by Miss Brown, followed by solos by Miss B. Stirling and Mr. G. E. Careless. On the completion of the programme an ad- journment was made to the school-room, which had been tastefully decorated.
