NEW SOUTH WA£ES. KILLED BY A SHARK. Sydney, Dec. 10, As two boys were bathing at Roselle Bay on Sunday afternoon, they were attacked, by a shark. One. of them, named John Terrill, aged 14 years, Avas seized by the monster, w-hioh tore the lad's stomach open, taking a mass of flesh away. Terrill got ashore, but is not expected to recover. Later. The boy Terrill has since succumbed to his injuries.

DESPERATE STRUGGLE WITH BURGLARS. [Newspaper Article] — Kalgoorlie Miner — 11 December 1895

DESPERATE STRUGGLE WITH BURGLARS. Two masked armed burglars knocked at the door of Mr W. Richards' house, ?' Coburg, on Saturday ? night. Mrs Coulter, a woman 50 years of age, went to . the. door, holding a candle, when one of the burglars knockel her down, whilst the other proceeded to the room where Mr Richards was sitting. Mrs Coulter had a desperate' struggle with the first burglar in a bedroom, and frustrated his efforts to throttle her. The burglar then caught hold of a sling-shot, with which he tried to strangle her, and then threw, her under a b.d. In the meantime the other burglar got £2. They both cleared out before Richards could get at them. They evidently knew that Richards received large sums of money during the year as trustee of an estate, but miscalculated the time of its receipt.

FATAL TRAIN ACCIDENT. William Jarret, aged 12 years, was knocked down and killed by a train while walking along the line. His head was cut in. two. The will of the late Sir James Patterson has been lodged for probate. The estate is valued at over £11,000, and is bequeathed to his family.
