This Commission sat at the Town Hall, Wangaratta, on Thursday morning, for the puirlose of receiving de; legates from the Borough Council who might desire to suggest any alterations or amendments in the Borough's Statute.] The Mayor spoke with regard to thevoting power' of ratepayers, and bore out the resolution of the sub.com. mittee with regard to getting,a clause inserted in the Boroughs Statute'giving more votes for property aned increasing the maxinmum number of votes from three to fire. He was in favour of the Mayor of any Borough being elected by the ratepayers instead of as at pro. sent by the Council.
