THE ARIZONA WEEKLY JOURNAL MINER: PRESCOTT, ARIZONA. Japanese Laundry Ideas. The Japanese washing day has many features peculiar to that pecul iar land. First of all, tho garments which aro to be washed are ripped apart, as they are sown with long stitches like basting, expressly to fa cilitate this operation. No hot water is. over used, washboards, sot tubs and and all other fittings which are considered indispensable by tho Amoi-ican woman, aro conspicuous by their absence. Tho little tub, which, is nlxnit as largo as a dish pan, sits .upon tho floor or the ground, and the operative, armed with a piece of soap, .the cold water and her bare hands, does tho laundering. It .scarcely need be said that it is not.an easy or enjoyable task. Jap anese dirt is just as adherent in its nature as Yankee dirt and leaves the garment just as reluctnntlj. Most of the work is done beside tho streams of the water supply, whatever it may he, and such a thing as a laundry room in connection with tho ...

THE ARIZONA JTEEKLY 30VS$VMySml St. Patrick's Day. We enjoy a free show as much as anyone, and as there are no republican actors to .brandish the assassins' dirk into the hides of each other in this demo cratic tragedy, we enjoy a front seat immensely just to see how the plot ripens and applaud when the cur tain falls.
