IN THE last several years, alfalfa growing assumed such proportions In the Mesilla Valley that the mar ket price became most unsteady. Most of the growers sold their hay as soon after cutting as possible, often glutting the market so that prices were forced down to almost a ruinous figure. Now, however, the farmers have organized, hay-sheds have been built to store the surplus hay and the marketing has been svstematized.
