Tho wind continues to blow from the Westward, and vessels are tbm prevented from going to sea from the Inrbor of Honolulu. A large number are ready for sea, some of which have been wait ing for two weeks a change of wind. From some indications, apparent to the weather-wise a change is looked for soon, when the embargo will be raised, and a scattering will take place among the fleet, to all parts of the world. During the prevalence of the late Westerly winds, some Iittjp damage has t been sustained by vessels in the harbor from get ting foul, chafing, &.c, but nothing to any serious amount. When properly moored, vessels are ns secure in Honolulu harbor, as in almost any other in the world ; its small capacity alone is the only circumstance to its disadvantage. Smith, returned to this port on the 7th inst., to re pair damages sustained by fir at sea, since leaving this port in Nov. last. 1 . t , We have taken the pains to procure from an au thentic source the following facta ia. regard to the disaster. ' .' '. The "Warren sailed Leuce on the 24th of Nov., in company "with the ship Eliza Adams, bound to the weather coast, and down on the line for sperm oil. The two ships kept company till the 14th of Decem ber, vben in lat. 33 N., long 139 west, at half past one A. M. of that day, the Warren was discovered to be on fire forward, and the 6moke pouring out of the fore hatches and forecastle gangway.
